On the re audio calculator i have the "port length 2" set at zero and the port is 16.5" deep but it says total port length: 27.5
How is my 16.5" port 27.5"....

i think i know what it is.. the port is measured down the center, not along your port wall edge, thats why it looks weird on that calculator

how would that change the port length?
dimensions are
48w x 19h x 24d
port width: 7"
Port length 2: 0"

red mark is how the port length of wood is measured, you have to calculate the whole line for the total actual port length
so even though the red mark is X long, thats not the whole length of the actual port
lol, thats like a dual port?

i could be wrong, but i was always shown that the port was measured down the center of it, no matter how many curves or turns it had
yes, correct, but the pic threw me off. it looked like 2 ports, side by side.
Anyway, on the calc, it should just give the total lenght. Why ist 27? idk.

unless they are calculating the remainder 3.5" (half your port width) out into the box for some reason...

RE's Calculator is known to be alittle off.
... It's good $hit though.
well, i ran it, and it shows in the cuut sheet, 2 pices that size. Maybe a dbl port wall? idk.

Looks like its measuring the outer port wall.
Alot of people say the calculator is off, so i would use a different one.
