how would 2 12" type r's sound in about 5.7 cubes, is that to much?

also, we would need to know what vehicle it's going in, ported or sealed, tuning, amp, wiring, etc.

type r's love a bigger box, tune it to about 35 hz with about 1500-1800 rms to both subs and should slam pretty nice

I've had experience with 2 R's in a little over 5 cubes tuned to 30hz with over 1000-1200 each and was loud as hell! but they will get stinky quick on low notes! :crap:

between 5.4 and 5.8
tune 34-36hz
and do 35-40 square inches of port per sub

Yes^^^ do that, with about ~2k total rms

Ok well i did a few modifications to my box and it will be a total of 5.3 cubes. should i still tune it to about 34?

yes... for some reason after i drop between 34hz output drops drastically on all the boxes ive made

I also noticed that with my previous box i built. It was around 32-33hz and i wasn't satisfied at all
