i have a set of polk momo hooked up to a zx850.4 and giving each side 135rms and just noticed it when i have the truck key turned over but not cranked the tweets make a slight tssssss sound almost like a static sound and then when i crank my truck its even worse and thats with the HU off
when i turn the Hu on its still there and once i turn the volume up it seems gone but i cant tell since music is playing as well
i have my rca's and power wire on the same side and i am using cheap rca's walmart series so that might be the problem but wouldnt my subs and mids be making the same sound bc they arent
any idea's
thanks

How are your gains set? Have you messed with the EQ settings to see if you can tame the noise?

if its happening with the HU off then your tweeter wires must be touching metal/grounding out. check the wire for cuts or pinches.
if your HU is off then the amp is off. that means your amp is not giving the tweeters any power. so something elce is, or elce they wouldnt be making any noise rite?

i have gains set with dmm on a 1khz test tone and no my amps are hooked up in my fuse box on a spot that has power only when key turned on so when i turn my hu my amps stay on

I actually had this same problem with my tweeters. For me it was because my wires were touching metal wrapped em up np.

well i messed with it some more today and found out that the mid and tweet both have the sound comming from them like when i rev the engine up i can hear the engine or w/e through the speakers
so what do i need to fix this i have the rcas on same side as power wire should i re route that and try to see if that fixes the problem or get a pair of kicker rcas or knu rcas

if they are comps, try moving the passive crossover maybe a foot or so and see if it goes away.
