Half the box is going to be green, the other pink. 2 10" RE SX's on a Solid Audio F2500D. 3.4 cubes tuned to 39 hz with a 6 in aero. Its going in a Yaris, so it should be loud.

Next step is picking up some bondo and doin a ton of sanding.
(Almost forgot to mention its going in my girls car, I am not that much of a flaming homosexual).

get a amall electric sander. would speed up the sanding process. should be easy since it's a flat surface.
what color is the car? if i were you i'd rather paint it the color of the car.
or carpet the box black except for the baffle and paint that.

i've got an electric sander. the car is black, soon to have tinted windows. its what she wanted, so i dont really care. the highs amp is an SX600.2 with those paintable end caps, so those endcaps are going to be painted to match the box.

i can understand the OP on this one. my girl has an awesome fiberglass box for her 3 10's that is painted with paint purchased from the honda dealer to match the car. she wants to sand it down and paint it pink and put pink led's all through the car.....i guess its cool my girl even cares about stuff like that but pink!!! ha ha

what we do for our girlfriends....... I just built mine a custom box with zebra fabric lining the sides. Oh and it houses a Rockford P3 10"

It shakes her Jetta pretty good :)

Installed a switch for the subwoofer amp and the highs amp. Also installed a voltage meter. The switches light up blue when turned on and the Stinger voltage meter lights up blue so it should match nicely.

I've been working on the wifes yaris too, I just threw a Infinity 10" in the trunk till I can get her an amp. I plan on starting the box for the RD heavy weight 12 here in the next few days. I did some nice paint matching interior work that turned out nice.

very cool, i may do that on this one as well. i'm just running a line output converter instead of replacing the HU. IMO the aftermarket kits they sell look like **** with the hole at the bottom. goodluck with your yaris!

i'd say around a 145 if i had to guess. previous install with same equipment did a 144.8, can't tell if its louder or not.

Nice job. A little tweaking and tuning that 145 should be easy to beat. :)

Nice, is it actually that loud making the roof flex that much? Nice job.

Sure is, the thing doesn't get low, per se, but it destroys 40 hz like nobodys business. Despite it being tuned to 39 hz, 35 hz probly gets the most flex despite being under tuning and a bit quieter. I even get a little wiper bouncing action on some really loud songs. I cant wait til my meter gets here and I can do some testing.

Edit: 50 seconds in on the first video is where it gets violent. I have only tried about 20 songs on it, I dont even know the songs that sound best on it yet.

wouldnt it get louder if it was turned around? you did say that was a trunk car right? shouldnt the sub be facing the trunk lid or is that just sealed boxes? thought the only way you should turn the sub that way is if your cabin is sealed off.

Once the meter gets here, thats what I'm going to test. I pointed them forward so I would get as little trunk rattle as possible, as there is no deadener in this car. Surprisingly the rattles aren't that bad at all.

Turned around it will play deeper for sure but probably not louder since the box takes up most of the trunk opening. But he'll have to test that one out.

My guess for loudest is box forward but pushed all the back inside the trunk against the trunk lid. Best sounding is probably facing back but with tones of rattles.

Looking forward to results.
