View Full Version : Can you tell me where to buy these aluminum griles? Or what they are from? PICS

Hello, here is what I am looking for. I have see them covering amplifiers, speakers, and JL uses them on their speaker boxes in some applications.

I was hoping you guys could share where I can buy them or what are them normally used for? I would want some pretty long, like 25" or so... Aluminum and I assume that they screw in from the underside?

Wow...that guy on ebay is asking way too much.

Just picked up a set of the 10" ones. Look good. Just make sure to use some thread lock on them. The cross bars screw into the mounting arms, and will come loose if you don't.

Anyone got some links to where you could get them without the circular base...like just straight chrome rods?

You can buy aluminum bar stock from Home Depot or Lowe's and cut and bend it as you need.

When you buy them, you have to assemble them, so if you don't want to use the circular base, just use the cross bars.

If you are looking for just straight chrome rods, with no bend in them, go to home depot, buy some aluminum rod, and shine it up.

The aluminum at HD was much too thick... Do they normally sell smaller diameter?

If ya cant find any thing let me know i can get aluminium rounds in any size ya want
