Im looking for some serious midbass to keep up with 2 x 18'' Fi Q w/BP, or 4 x new SI Mags (havent made the final descision yet).

Looking for some good SQL not just SPL, so instead of rear components, I wanna run some good midbass drivers in their place. I dont care how many as long as they can (at least somewhat) keep up.

Im in a '90 Bronco which basically has a panel where the rear speakers are, that I will be replacing with a carpeted sheet of MDF, so space is not a problem (I could mount a few 1 ft^3 sealed enclosures on each panel if I wanted to).

One suggestion that has already come my way is running 4 (although I might go to 8:crazy:) Creative Sound SDX7s.

Anyone suggest anything else? Feel free to suggest an amp too.:D

Thanks man, Ive never even heard of those until now. Ive only heard of mainstream brands, which I dont wanna buy. Those CDTs look like theyll put out some serious midbass/subbass. Those are definitely a contender right now.

Any others???????:)

With that kind of low end, you will be hard pressed to find anything that will come close to keeping up.

Youre probably right, Im just trying to bridge the gap the best I can. Ive gotta lotta room for a lotta drivers, so Im hoping I can get close enough.:)

Turn your subs down when listening to real music, and focus more on the install rather than driver choice...

Im assuming your talking about RL-ps. Those seem to be more of an all out sub. I looked at the RL-i line (8''), and those look pretty mean, but can those do a midbass application (up to 350 Hz)??? They take up to 500W which makes me think they're intended more for pure subbass (below 100 Hz). Honestly, if those can work for my application, then Ill run those in a heartbeat!:)

If not then Im liking the CDTs. I might just make my whole front stage CDT, kinda feeling the company.

Any more suggestions????

:iagree: Dido.

How low do your SDX7s go BTW, can they hang in the 70-350Hz range??

If you are willing to use enclosures for the mid bass woofers, there is no comparison to the DD 6.5lt IMHO. They will almost make you think you added some extra subs, yet they remind you they are still a midbass when they are doing just as well in the 5khz range.

Actually I was just looking at those. Whatever I run, I AM definitely building an enclosure for them. Just gonna bolt the box to the sheet metal (got a good chunk of exposed sheet metal on the bottom of the Bronco doors).

Till now the ones ive really been looking at are the CDT M6s, but if the DDs are as good as you say they are then they might be the ticket.:) The CDTs look a bit stouter, but I know looks arent everything. Whats the price tag on those DDs?
