Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions

Here is the plans (I changed up the baffle so it would not be between both sides)

cool thanks

The cuts are perfect., I got home depot to do it to. They are all right on the money :)

Can I just use regular black spray paint to paint inside the port? I am going to carpet the outside of the box

Question, in google sketchup how do you set the line tool to make 3/4 " lines, like it was a piece of wood I was putting instead of a pencil line?

My home depot is max 8 cuts, I think anything after 2 or 3 cuts is like 10 cents more... and there's a certain measurement for like really really small pieces.

They didnt charge me for the cuts. Idk if they were suppose to or not. The people that work the registers are kinda jackasses

Yeah. You would be surprised how much smarter the guy (or girl) running the saw can get if a $10 bill appears out of nowhere. Their IQ's double!

Power finally came back on.

Got the silicone done and put the top on.

Does anyone silicone the outside or is that pointless?

What is body filler?

And glass the box?

Body filler is a putty (genericized name is Bondo, just as the genericized name for a tissue is a Kleenex) that is used to fill in holes and imperfections in automobile panels and fiberglass work. I use it to fill in gaps on seams so that when you paint, there are no edges showing.

I dont think there is anywhere on the box I really need that.

I plan on carpeting the outside and I guess painting in the port

How do you do that anyways? Just regular black spray paint? Probably should have done that before I put the top on :crap:

Yep, flat black spray paint works fine.

Think if I just shoot some in there it will reach the back?

grr i cant find a compas big enough to measure a 14.125 inch circleTie a bit of string about a nail. Pull out a length to 7 1/16". Tie that end around a pencil. Insta-compass :)

Ok well my Dad helped me get the hole cut out today

Here is what it looks like.

Getting ready to carpet it. Might try it tonight but I am a little nervous

The outside is a little sloppy but you wont be able to see that anyway so I didnt take the effort to try and keep it neat there is no point

Not so true. Carpeting is merely a pretty facade. Having good looking woodwork underneath actually makes it exponentially easier to carpet. Trust me, I'm an expert on ****** looking enclosures.

Game over I fail

Finally finished the box and I could not get it into my trunk. I was sure it would fit too. I measured so many times but it wont push all the way back because the floor is stopping it from lowering.

I really dont think I am up to building another one after this. I dont know what I am going to do

I was all excited I thought today was the day I got to hear my SSD, Now its probably going to be at least another month maybe never
