this is the new design... any thoughts?

and yes thats eleven 8's ported... and it will take up less than half the space the other box did.

Looks good Jay. Cant wait to work out the details. This should be much much easier than the Elephant box.

im not doing 2 12's because EVERYBODY HAS 2 12'S... BORING
it will be 11 dual 4 ohm subs (coils wired in series, subs wire in parallel) puts the load at .7 ohms.

im either going to be running the re8's or the 9Kv.2's

i havent fully decided yet. i designed the box to work with either.

and the elephant box is the behemoth of a creation that BJFISH and i came up with to house my HDC315's... BOX IS FOR SALE IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED... and if you want to see the build log, there is a link in my sig.

I ran 7 re8's ported in my s10, fun little drivers, especially in large quantities. 11 should be a kick in the ***.

Cool, I really like that box design. Def looks complicated, but doable. Looking forward to how this plays out, and props to you for making a scarifice for the family.

yeah... it should be pretty sweet. i just wanted to try something different.

It should be pretty sick on rock and country... (most of what i listen to)

Not sure if you listen to 80's metal, but Cinderella - falling apart at the seams was my favorite song when I had the re8's in it. Intro starts out soft and then it just comes in and rocks. At .5 each tuned to 33 they were great woofers for the rock.

lol, thats funny... i love that song.

im going to be running .58 each tuned at 35, so i think it should do just fine... it just ***** i have to wait til the end of the deployment... and thats when the woman is going to pop, so it will probably be march or april of next year before its fully done.
