View Full Version : Box for AQ HDC3 10
1.8 ft^3 tuned to 33hz. This will be my first attempt at a kerffed port so we'll see how it goes :p:
Not much to look at yet...
Got a little more done
Kerfs came out OK for my first time I think
I assembled both pieces of the port
Preping the port for paint.

looks pretty **** good for a 1st time
OK, so it's been slow going on this box. I've only been able to squeeze in a few min here and there but it's all starting to pay off.
Priming/painting the port...
Masking off the areas that will stay white...
Filling in all the screw holes with a MDF dust/wood glue mixture...
Sanded down all the screw holes as well as the joints in the wood...
Priming for paint...

looking good for sure, specially for a first time. I'm liking the box hanging from the ceiling for painting too, very nice setup. should look good when it is finished. Not sure if I like the white but I'll wait to see the final product.
Only the port and design will be white, the rest is just primer...

looks sexay. what was the spacing between cuts on your kerf?
I think it was like 1/4".
I'm pretty happy with the outcome for my 1st attempt.

good stuff. i used it on my HT build a few days ago.
It looks good, we'll see how it holds up. Very easy to use and hides the screw holes and joints very well.
I found a spray on bedliner (in a can) that I think I'm going to try for my next build.
