well i reconed the second apx 10 yesterday and decided to build the box today. i actually went and drove on the interstate to see how it sounded. the box is 4.25 cu ft after all displacements with two 4 inch aero ports. i do need to add more bracings to the top and bottom pieces though. i will be doing the added bracing tomorrow.

I have two braces in the box now. In the last pic it only shows one, but i have one right next to that brace going from the top to bottom.

I don't understand this arguement, people said the same thing about my setup, but I have no issues with my enclosure!!! It sounds amazing

thats what i was thinking before i built the box. i talked to jeff brown (dtbrown) on this forum about it prior to construction, and he said two full length 4 inch aero ports would do good for daily. So I tried it, and it does get really low and sounds good until I turn it up pretty loud and i hear the box flex.

it is quite big...but i gotta add more bracing now anyways. so that will decrease the size which i didnt want to have to do in the first place.

also tuned that low, of course:rolleyes:

if you understood how the sub functioned in a box that large at a higher tuning, its basically meant for 2 12"s, which would perform better.

yeah i figured, id be taking up atleast .5-1 cube of airspace myself.

Let's see, I'm going to have to say NO! You dont even know what state it is in, LOL. You have june 7th off you can go to Dropfest in WI. I am going to Slamology due to the manufacturer support for my other project, and I might just have something else up my sleeve. You ready to see who can be louder yet? You or the washup?

The box is flexing? I have yet to see this in any install, vids? If it's flexing, it wasn't assembled properly because if the subs are just wreaking havoc, the box should just be vibrating around a lot and not have panels behaving differently.

box shouldnt even be bouncing around ur still loosing acoustical energy.

Looks good bro. I have a pair of Kove Armageddon 10's in my garage and they look very similar to those Atomics you have. I just don't have the time or money to do anything with them.

box shouldnt even be bouncing around ur still loosing acoustical energy. That's exactly my point. Under no circumstances should it ever flex, but if it's merely not braced well, it'll just vibrate around, but not flex. He's saying that he needs more bracing because it's flexing: that's a problem with the structural integrity and not the supplemental bracing.

alright im sorry for not using correct termonology? (sp). there's vibrations within the box obviously which im fixing with 2x4s on the face of the box tomorrow. better?
