This is an AMS T4U external exclosure with 4 hard drives installed

2 650gb seagate
2 500gb seagate

I am only selling because I need more space. I thought about just buying another enclosure, but I am tired of running out of space so I building a single NAS server with about 10 750gb drives will be a better option for the future.

I am not parting this out

Here is some info on the enclosure:

$500 shipped

**If your interested we will have to work out shipping details because I need to buy and install my new drives and transfer the 2.3tb of movies that are on the old drives before I can ship

i think they are all 7200.11 perp drives, they are all only about 6 months old, but i would have to check to make sure

HD=.mkv
DVD=.iso

I am in the process of converting all my DVD .iso files into smaller 2gb .xvid files to save some space. If I need all the extras and full res I can just put in the original dvd

I have it connected to a 37" Olevia and use a coax digital connection from my sound card to my Denon receiver

I use Meedio as my front end, nothing too special, but it works.

I'd love to do something of the sort... but just don't think I have the time to invest into it to get it set up properly.

Right now I just burn my ISO's or Xvid files to discs and watch them on my OPPO DVD player...

before this i used my modded xbox networked and it was great. only problem is the xbox couldnt stream .mkv format so thats why i stopped using it and started using my pc

the main reason i did it was for convenience of having to only click the mouse a few times to watch whatever movie i wanted.

getting up, sorting through a few hundred dvds, putting the disc in the player and then sitting back down was too much work:)
