hey, i was reading in a previous post about how oval cones cause distortion at high volumes? I think that is a poblem that has been puzzling me. Whenever one of my 6X9 bass hits i get this high pitched distortion that is really annoying. Is there anyway to repair the cone...or is it gone?
thanks

The eternal solution is to get a round speaker... try turning the bass down on your EQ for now.

If it's a two or three way speaker...couldnt you throw a bass blocker in line?

No, you would have to replace the high-pass filter for the tweeter if it's the problem that I think it is ... It shouldn't be high-pitched if it's just normal 6x9 distortion with the bass ... It would be a distorted low/mid frequency signal ...
That makes sense.
Shouldnt be running 6x9's for rear fill anyway:D ;)
