Are you running components? If so, many folks choose not to run rear speakers. If not, I would go with the 3-ways.

don't need rear speakers if you have comps in the front. But if you like to impress ppl with your system then like someone stated: round>oval

so i decided to not have rear speakers so know i can afford better fronts. any opinions on these

PG RSD's are some good components. Friend of mine has a set in an S-10, they sound great. Just be sure to amp them, or they will be a waste of time.

I have the PG's, one of the best for the price, hard to beat. But give them a clean 100+ watts per side.
