View Full Version : Need Help for 6.5" speakers for HIP-HOP
I live in small town with no way to try a good brand.
So, I need 6.5" component speakers that is good for mainly listening to Hip-hop songs.
This system will not have sub, but will use with 4ch. amp.
Budget is 200-400.
Any recommendation?
Thanks guys

Clarion makes a good "budget" 6.5 seperate set.. SRQ-1620S.. here is a link..

My choices now are
1. Boston Acoustic Pro 60 but it is 3 ohm?
2. Hertz HSK 165
3. Diamond H600S
Which one do you think is best match for Hip-hop music?

I just bought some Rainbow SLC-265's and I love them. Can be had for $200 - $250 depending on if you want them used or new. Sound awesome! Then just get a nice amp. Speakers are rated at 100rms and I'm using a kicker zx350.2 right now (110+rms to each side) and want to upgrade to something around 200 rms per side and give that a whirl, but they sound awesome on 110

agreed on the SLC's .. i had mine for about 2yrs but my mids blew .. so im replacing them with RSD's since im on a tight budget right now and i want my midbass back .. other than that if i dont like the way the RSD's sound .. i will put back my SLC's replacing the midbass and using the RSD as rear speakers and then use a 4channel amp. hopefully i will like the rsd's if not 2 sets of comps on a corolla!

i would look for something with extended low end capabilities. i have a cdt hd-62/m6 set i am looking to sell that would fall into your price range. the m6 woofer is designed for extended bass response which would be good for a subless system. pm me if you are interested.
