It was wrapped pretty good i thought.Nothing fell apart and nothing was damaged thats all that counts.Other then them misplacing it for 2 weeks. It was $417 shipped across the country weighting in at 980lbs

ha ha you gotta love the random misplacement for 2 weeks ha ha. yeah its all good as long as it makes it safe. i just used to always make sure the bottom was wrapped really well. most tow motor drivers drive crazy ha ha

i bet it got lost cause the driver made him take it off to get something else and they left it on their dock. happens all the time. shocked one of two didnt "accidentally" fall off the pallet. ha ha

I have 5 Rockford T4000's in the van so its going to be 20,000+ watts to the 30-10's,also have 16 kinetic 2400's and 1 Rockford T4000 in the truck for the 4 18's.I'm going for bassrace/groundpounder/air mover.

There isnt enough room to fit 4 high hence the reason they are stagered on the top.Plus 32 doesnt go into 5 amps to well.

what i mean by highs is 40+hz in my book lol sorry i didnt clear things up even tho 40-50hz is technically low i call it high bass! so let me get this straight the bigger the sealed box the lower the tunnig will be?

Ok i gotchya now and i do believe the bigger the box the lower its tuned to but dont quote me on that.

sealed box tuning is dependent on the highest point in the impedance curve of the final load. ported box tuning is the opposite, the lowest point in the impedance curve will be the 'tuning frequency'.

changing box size will effect the imp curve, so changing sealed box volume is a way to 'tune' and enclosure :)

nice build. i would have guessed at more than a 154, but eh. im sure it seems way louder than that.

yea i was thinking the samething i dont care what most people say who have clamshells but i honestly think those type walls are bandpasses! by testing if u were to do an same sealed box but have it flatwall it wouldnt be as loud as the clamshell, plus u would have less lows! its something about clamshells and diamond type walls that just make for an insane amount of air to be pused. its easier to do an hairtrick with an clamshell or diamond than it is to with an Flat wall, even being that the flatwall is tuned lower can anyone explain why these type enclousers move so much air? is it because of all the air being pushed into basically one area?

tooloud4tv
05-12-2008, 11:24 PM
i know alot of people use them to fit an larger amount of woofers that wouldnt fit in an flatwall, but like i said up top the clamshells still move more air? Randy can u comment on this?

I believe the reason clamshells and diamonds move more air then a flatwall is because of the amount of woofers (AKA cone area).Plus when running a flatwall it tends to create spl at the dash.Clamshells and diamonds are always open to the middle of the vehicle so the air is forced around the whole cabin. Also even tho clamshells have some cancelation i think it kinda helps push the pressure out into the cabin with all the woofers firing.

Its louder with the doors open.I was demoing it once and we out a termlab on the windshield with the doors open and was doing a 54.5 on music.I need to make a shirt video some time and show how violent it gets when opening the second window.

Once i start working on the door speakers i will deaden the heck out if it.

The birthsheet on the T800.4 says 1161 at 1 ohm,so i jsut took that number and divided it by 16 and came up with 72.5
