Looking for a 2 way comp set to run active with my 9887, however I do not want a metal tweeter(JL, MB, focal etc), My preference is they are way too bright sounding. I have heard The QSD's the K2p's and the ZR's. Of those 3 sets I believe the Zr's sounded best. I want a Silk Tweeter(rainbow, dynaudio). As far as the mids, I want them to be warm sounding as well to match the silk tweeters. I have reading about silk tweeters and I am acctually happy with my rainbow SLX 2 way comps, I just want something a little nicer.
What are some brands/models that have warm sounding speakers that can compare to rainbow/dynaudio. Im sure some of you guys can just throw some companies out there.
REcommend a good 2 way component set that can be ran active on the 9887!!

A move to the Germ's is a nice jump from where you are and they meet the requirements.

Thats what I was thinkin. I acctually was thinking about getting these speakers for a long time because I really like my SLX's, even with the Cal 20 silks. Its just the Midrange speakers lack so much Midbass.
I want at least the cal 25, or cal 26.

Come on guys whats a good 2 way set of components to run active to replace my Rainbow SLX's? I am definately thinking the germaniums, but I know their have to be some comperable brands out there to look into before I make my decision. Must have silk tweeters though.

If I ever upgrade my Boston Pro's I will be getting the Hertz HSK's for sure. I've read ALOT of good things about them. So that would be my input for you. It's worth a look for you to check them out.

I did hear a pair of DLS nobeliums 3 ways and man those were NICE. I wouldnt mind going with a pair of DLS speakers, just dont know where to find them without the crossovers. Im lookin to spend like no more than $400.

Yeah I dont care about the crossovers. WHat is madi-sound? Ill google it..
