ok i want a square port on my enclosure. it is for a 12" HC. The box dimensions go as the following...36w x 16.5h x 12d. This gives it a total volume of 3.145 cubic feet before displacement. The sub i believe displaces .17 cubic feet. So the total volume after displacement would be 2.975 cubic feet. I want the box tuned to 35hz. for anybody that has WinISD or any other box designing program...could you help me design the port??? I have never built a ported enclosure and would greatly appreciate any help.

haha what would section of the forum be like without Jmac??? Also...im not even exactly sure how to go about building the port after you give me the sizes. Could i just do a slot port....so only one piece of wood will be needed for the port??? or do i need to do a complete square port where 4 pieces are needed? I may be wrong but im guessing if i do a slot..it has to be on one of the edges of the box...and a square port can be anywhere.

Sure u could use one or two boards for the port. Just as long as the distance between the two isn't like a quarter of an inch. If you give me the T/S stuff i could see about the tuning.
