I had a TBird I was going into the $1K with, I just bought a new car. I swear that car was like a biotch, it would need money when I got paid....

I only have about $1500 in mine and that includes reconditioned chrome bumpers, new turn signals, and a OEM fender. Its a 94 Tahoe 2dr and it cost like $100 for the tub, and frame then I built it from there, So I would say Im doing pretty good so far.

$0.00

unless you include windshield wipers or aftermarket parts as repairs

The GTI was going to run me in the range of $4500 to fix everything wrong with it. Way too much, so it became a trade in.

$0, but i need to get my ac fixed soon, i think its out of refrigerant.

Before the ex, i had a ranger that must have had over 5 grand in repairs in the 2 years that i owned it. Every couple months something small would break, i got tired of it fast. But hell it had just under 200K and the drivetrain wasnt the problem, just a lot of other little ****.

Have had my car since Dec 2004 and have spent $0 on anything other than normal maintenence

The only issue I had was an ABS sensor, but that was covered under warranty about 2 months after I bought the car.

Last purchase was a K&N for the stock box for $30

bah. i feel like trading in my truck and geting a new one. but , it does run fine. its just these little things (besides the head gasket) that add up quick. loose bearing , control arm bushing , needs new tired BAD etc.. and all the shops around here seem to not give a **** about anything so im weary about going anywhere to get it fixed , but it has to get done. :crap: id almost feel better paying out my *** going to the dealership..

general suggestion for you in the future if the head gasket starts to go bad either sell the car or fix it the second you notice something wrong. On that note i feel your pain

1995 ranger bought in 03 with 50k now with 145
headgasket
new maf
pcm replacement
water pump
fuel pump
clutch
oilpan gasket
cat
wheel bearings
rear diff rebuild
power steering
heater core

lol fords. i guess it could be worse nothing to major failed and i have put almost 100k on it
but my brothers accord has 240k on it and hasnt had half the problems mine has.

eventually youll get to the point to where you know u need a new car. I just love motorcycles too much to care about my car
