It took a few months to finish. Had to work a lot and didnt have the motivation needed to finish up the job. But I finally got it done.

what i did have

blank slate

The new box. 4.5 cuft tuned to 32 hz. Very fun to make.

http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j281/spud2388/IMG_0423.jpg
I like silicone
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j281/spud2388/IMG_0424.jpg
Notice the 4" pvc waiting to be used
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j281/spud2388/IMG_0425.jpg

The box was very time consuming to make. I wanted to save as much cargo area as possible to I used every bit of space possible to readhewd my desired 4.5 cuft. The 'wings of the box extend over the wheel wells and it fits snuggly against the rear seat.

Bought a speaker terminel, but I broke the red and black nuts off, so I stripped it down and made my own with a couple bolts.

I did a lot between pics, but this is how it turned out.

The whole thing was designed to keep the cargo cover functional. Stealth.
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j281/spud2388/IMG_0533.jpg
Here's the back. The hinges are there to secure my box down, as well as to allow me to tilt my box back and access the spare tire in the floor.

box lifted
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j281/spud2388/IMG_0536.jpg
box lifted and spare showing. worked really well.

Alpine PXA-H510 processor mounted under the rear seats, along with the madness of wires.
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j281/spud2388/IMG_0538.jpg
And my favorite part of my car, 90watt strobe lights mounted on each corner of the car. (this is the control box for them mounted under the rear seats as well).

as said before, it sounds pretty darn good to me. The low end is impressive and the slc-265's kick some ***. the only problem i am having is i have an annoying hiss from the tweeters only when sound is being played through them. im pretty sure its the nine.4 sending them a dirty signal. its not the HU or the ipod being hooked up to it cause it does it with cd's and with my old 9825. i have changed out the rcas and still have the problem, so all thats left is the amp. most people cant hear it and dont notice it, but it dries me up the wall when i listen to music at a low volume. the hiss just makes the highs seem dirty. So within the next year, im hoping to swich the nine.4 out with another nine.1 (one for each sub) and hide a new dls or orion amp in the spare tire area. but we will see. college student=broke ***...

very nice clean install, where did you pick up that carpet?

got the carpet at a local fabric store. searched for about 2 weeks trying to find something similar and stumbled upon this randomly. matches also perfectly and it easily stretched. you should have seen the faces of the old ladies when they saw an 18yo guy come in with a floormat looking at fabric. Priceless....

Wow, that box is amazing. I can't imagine how much time and effort that took to design and build!

Personally I'm all for the idea of keeping as much utility and cargo space as possible, and you pulled it off well!

Where's pics of the wiring, headunit, and such?

I plan on getting those up in a few weeks. I have finals coming up and when i get to go back home, im going to be redoing alot of my wiring. I need to get some fuse blocks to cleanly wire my headlights, foglights, high-beams, strobes, phone charger, and some other gadgets I have. I'll be sure to get some pictures of the big 3 and how I have it ran through the Jeep.

**** man, that looks good. I just did a 5 cube box at 34 hz for a pair of these. People flame them a lot but personally I think they sound pretty good. Hit the lows pretty good. But nice install man, clean as hell

Wow! That looks nice and clean. You really did a great job utilizing all the space you could - that box looks much smaller than 4.5 cu.ft. after displacement. I wish more people on here had installs as clean as yours.
