6 cubes after displacment. use aeros. Box can be like 47x14x18 which comes to 6.85cubes. #### will slam ur ranger

6 cubes? that seems like a lot...

1.5 cubes would be perfect. 1 4 inch aeroport. I had my 9512 in 2.1 cubes with 1 4inch Aero and sounded great. 1.75 or 1.8 gross

you can make it smaller and tune it different. thats just what i had 2 9910s at. tunes to 40Hz. are you looking for SPL or more SQ? that 6 cubes will get you a more SPL output.

Way, way, way, way too much volume.

It's a 10. It is a 9510, but it is still just a 10. Give it between 1 - 2 cubes net, tune it to 40 hz, and use external aero ports. Sub up, ports to the driver side.

i dotn care what any of these guys say, 1.5 cubes is WAY to small for an SPL box... 10s or not...

you cut it to the length you need it to be tuned to what you want...

I have seen two 18s put up 160+ in less than 2 cubes each.

Show me a couple of posts that recommend 6 cubes for a single 10.

x1,000,000

Bigger = more efficient.

But recommendations for my 9515 are 3.5 net for SPL.

maybe i'm retarded...PVC pipe? y wouldn't that work?

mokedaddy

It will work just fine as long as the diameter is large enough. Aero ports are much more efficient though.

Can you link me to the thread on soundpressure or anywhere else where someone knowledgeable suggested to you to use 3 cubes net for a 10" sub?

PMing you sean.

I appreciate it. Because I had a 9510 and if I should have had it in a bigger box I'm gonna be upset. And while I don't think that's the case, I'd be interested in reading up on it.

I can see three cubes. But in now way is that a hard or fast rule for spl.

that was just my suggestion as past down to me. i put 2 9910s in 6 cubes with a orion 2500 on each and those 10s yanked hard.

Lets face it moke, if there ever was a "hard or fast rule for SPL" then there would be a thread somewhere on the exact dimentions for everything. unfortunatly there are too many other variables so there is no exact right number for every scenario. thats why bass heads make tons of boxes testing every last thing they can to squeeze out DBs.

Exactly :)

and I am sure your system pounded great, but in this situation 3 cubes would not be beneficial due to limited space in the cab of a ranger.

i keep doin calcs to see if i can fit a 1.5 cube box into my regular cab ranger...that would be ridiculous lol

bunkerking09

is it even possible to do this sealed? i know i would lose all the low end i'm just curious

SeanDub

You need a different sub if you can't give it 1.5 + port

bunkerking09
03-30-2008, 11:15 PM
no i'm just seein if i can get it in a regular cab :) extended cab is no prob
