I have 2 sets of polk audio mmc 650. They are going in an 02 Nissan Sentra SER Spec V. I have a mtx audio amp i think the 4004 model, are these decent speakers or will those $87 PG blow these out of the water?

from what i have had, polk speakers are very easy to damage.

i wont comment on that, but they are fragile. never had anything else blow as easy as the polks i have tried. thats just my $.02

The SR line is very comfortable to listen to. I've heard a car with SR components and a single SR 12" and the sound quality was great. Even buying the MOMO co axils if your on a budget is a better alternative then getting just type R's.

im just wondering if i should waste my money having these installed? or just by another set and be done with it? Im taking both sets out of my old car right now but if these are installed correctly with they get pretty loud with decent sq?

I can't help you with that one. Both sound great for what they are!

But if you are comparing co axils to components its more of an apple to oranges kind of thing.

ok well i decided to keep the polks but only one set the other set actually were 5.25's so im gonna put the 6.5s in the rear, now im gonna buy a set of comps. for the front, i want a great set of comps no more the around $300 that will blow type r's away, the only reason i say that is my buddy just got some type r's, which in my opinion sound great i just want something better :) thanks for all ur help - Marc
