Hey all, looking at the Alpine SPX-13REF and I see the Woofer / Tweeter have their own inputs. Is it possible to parallel wire the woofer connection to the tweeter connection on the crossover so that it only uses one channel on the amp and drops it down to a 2Ohm load? It seems logical but will the crossover handle it and is that proper wiring for seperate input crossovers? I've only used Type-R components before and they have only 1 input/2 outputs. Or do they each need their own channel? Any info would be great, thanks.

Here's a pic of what I'm thinking in case I sounded like I was rambling ...lol

Seriously no one has ever done this or knows if it's possible? Where's the gurus at? lol

Paralleling them will not change the impedance that the amp sees. It will still see the nominal impedance of the tweet over the freq range that the tweet plays and the nominal impedance of the mids for its range.

There are jumpers inside the case to do what you are showing.
It lets you use one input to drive both speakers.
There are only 2 sets of inputs to give you the option to bi-amp the speakers.
