View Full Version : Good idea?

I thought it was a decent idea for people who didnt want to weigh down their doors with 10 pounds of dynamat. I think it has the potential to help a woofers response. It would certainly keep the moisture to an extent which is always good if you have high quality door speakers. I was just curious if anyone has tried these yet.

Generally these are used along with deadening. A large hole needs to be cut in the back other wise the lower freqs. are killed. Just make sure water won't be able to flow in so leave an over hang on the top portion and make sure it can flow away from the the bottom if any does get in there.

I hadnt bought them yet but you answered my questions. I wondered if it would kill the lower freuquency range from choking them. Apparently IT DOES! The way my trunk is setup (02 Taurus) the speakers have a nice enclosed area to pull air from so it gives decent low end even with junk paper cones powered by the oem HU.
