ok. i just traded in my '97 ram for a 2003 dodge ram. i havent gotten the truck yet, but i will be getting it in about 4 months. i want to have a design for the system before i even get the truck... so......... what the hell can i do with this thing without tearing out the back seat? i'm not lookin to put tv's in it, just the best **** system money can buy. hopefully someone else is in the same situation, so this thread can help someone else out. thanks
iīm in tha same exact situation, i just bought a 03 ram quad cab, and i need a box for the subs. found anything for yourself?

when you guys get your truck... youll have to get back there with a tape measure and see what sort of room you have to work with. then you could possibly share box sizes or whatever for eachother...

i know what youre saying. i'm just gettin ahead of myself. i aint even got the truck yet and i'm trying to set up a system for it... well, when i get the truck i will definetly start a new thread... WITH the measurements.... i cant wait!!! but some one told me that the front and back door speakers were 5 1/4. so i may think about going with MB quart components. and i saw in truckin' magazine that some guy had 4 10's MTX, but personally i think that MTX really ***** for subs. so when i do get the truck, i will think about going with 4 solo baric 10's, or 4 JL 10w2s... but i have a mindset on the 10w2s... this is going to be the longest 4 months in my life:mad:

ED Ks
RE SEs
RE HCs
eclipse alums
the list goes on and on....
and personally, you would be better off building your own box....
my 2 cents...
:)
thanks.
what do you think about .55 cft per chamber, for a sealed box with 10īs?

for me, it would be too small... id need a big ported box.
a small box like that isnt going to get very loud but will have high quality.

i really like the MB components, but if there is something out there thats even half of what these speakers are, i would love to know. i will probally build the box out of 3/4mdf, and then brace the inside of the box with fiberglass. but, i dont know the dimensions. and the reason i like the jls is because, well, i dont have a LOGICAL reason. they have a really good reputation, and i think that they hold up to it.
