im looking for some 6x8 speakers or 5x7.
im just looking for a very nice rich sound. i already have 2 12" in the back i dont need them with that much bass. (i don't have a budget by the way)
im powering them with the head unit
What speakers would you recomend me?

A set of 5 1/4" or 6.5" components on an adapter plate and a small amp to power them. Will sound tons better than any oval speaker out there.

Perhaps not... there are some very good coaxes out there these days, and even some oval components available that are very good. :fyi:

And to the OP, the Pioneer Revs generally get pretty good reviews.

x2 on the REVs. hit up onlinecarstereo.com for them or the Premier variants.

There's a handful of them (http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductList.aspx?CategoryID=16&PageNum=1&SortField=1&SortOrder=0&ShowAll=False&AttrID=1&AttrValue=6x8&RowIndex=11).

anybody know how long it takes for an order to come in from onlinecarstereo.com? I ordered some hifonics 6x9's for my rear deck and 2 sets of 5 1/4 components for the doors. If the 6x9's sound good I'll be buying matching 6x8's for the front doors.

Another vote on the REVs. Great speakers for a decent price.

No budget and you would go with 6x8s over a good set of 6.5" comps...ok...

I have an explorer with 6x8's. I first went with infinity kappas in 6x8 and they were ok. I finally went to 6.5" PSG RSD's but they blew up. I went up to some BA Pro60's and have been super happy. The bostons' actually came with metal plates to adapt the hole but I made my own out of mdf.
