I'm building a sonosub and having one 12 firing down and one 12 on top. Should I port it up or port down onto a piece of wood, and why? Thanks

Downfiring port prevents this from happening.

Sonotube concrete tubes used as the enclosure for a subwoofer, hence
the name sono-sub.

The tube isn't made of concrete -- it's a concrete pouring tube.
