Own a set JBL p650c and do like them...

but i listen to many types of music n such and the tweeters (titanium dome) are wayy to harsh for me at time(very often).

Anyone have any suggestions

Go for some silk domes, you can also attenuate the tweeters to bring them down a notch.

Have you tried to EQ them back? I run Crystals in the GF's car and the titanium tweets were far too bright IMO, but cutting them back to -6 did the trick.

I'd try tuning before replacing them....

You can try an inline non-inductive resistor of probably around 2-5 ohms wired after the high pass crossover output to attenuate the tweeters. This is a cheap and simple solution that may just do the trick.

x2 on the tuning. If you are set on different tweets, The C Mass tweets are silk over Titanium and are very nice.

It's not a huge deal, just wanted to see some of your suggestions.
If I were wanting to replace them are there any solid possible choices for a decent price.. remember young on a budget : )
