Some Wall Help plz

If you look close at the second picture you can kinda see behind the faceplate but it is empty back there.

I know im losing a ton of pressure back there so i was trying to think of what i could do to help seal it up?

Expanding Foam?

Insulation?

etc... what would be my best option?

not really a desperate measure. but if you were to make a sandwhich of a back board of ply wood or so and put cement maybe 2-3" thick up to the baffle board would create a soild baffle and if done right it should seal up with the trim of the car.

lol but i really know nothing of competeing so don't take my word for it.

I used 2x4s with mdf on the front to make it look smooth. Not done yet but you get the idea.

i have some gaps in mine....so what..

one thing you can do is get some pipe insulation foam, cut a slit in it (just like the old pads on early 90's bicycles)and push that **** on all the way around the trim panel.

You are talking about the large cavity behind the box, right? Not how the front beauty board conforms to everything? If this is the case then I think people are misunderstanding your question. It took me a minute to figure it out. Besides walling it off again behind the box I would think the only thing you could do would be stuff it full of insulation to deaden that part and force more of it forward.



Now keep in mind that I am not a professional and know diddly squat about walls.

use carpet padding, you dont want anything permanent in your car like expanding foam...
