i have a 1999 mercury cougar that i am looking at buying. but the bottom mounting bracket on the tranny is broken off and has brought of peice of the case with it. do you guys know if there is any way to fix this without getting another tranny?

aluminum welding:D super exciting

easier would be jb weld

No other way to fix..unles you got this car free i wouldnt even bother They are just money pits. We cringe when these things come into the shop.

You're trying to pick up a tranny in a cougar? You need a way more pimpin car than that...

well it what i can afforod..lol but prolly lookin at somethin else. might even try to get my moms monte carlo SS

You could definitely pick up plenty of Trannies with the Monte Carlo SS...

Cougar tranny problems, eh ? What kind of problem ? Is it that you found out the cougar was a tranny or maybe you knew it was a tranny, but "she" just can't perform ? If the latter, viagra works great ... Or perhaps you tried to pick up a tranny, but it turned out to be a cougar ?

Please elaborate more on the cougar tranny problem, please ...

I had a 2001 it was a great car...fully loaded with a V6 and 5spd....Black with Black interior .....I wish I still had it :(

cougars are ******..its just the one i want needs a tranny and they make 7 different automatic trannys for that year of cougar.
