Well guys I am finally looking to replace my Alpine 9833 with something different. Will any HU directly connect to my zune? Or what are my options to hook up the zune in the car? I like alpines but would change brands.

I'm pretty sure most decks with Direct USB Control will do so. I think the new Pioneer does it... either the 6000 or the 7000, and I'm almost sure the 6900 from last year could do it too. With Alpine you have to buy an external USB adapter that is around a hundred bucks or so...

Deck in sig. Front 2.5 mm input. find a 3.5 mm to 2.5 adapter and there ya go.

Aux input?

If you're referring to me, yes it is. Front aux input. One in front, and one in back.

Have you hooked up the zune to it? Do you have a zune or zune2? Just wondering because alpine says
"The Beauty of USB for Other Devices
In addition to iPods, you can connect MP3 players like the Zune2, iRiver Clix, Creative Zen, or Toshiba Gigabeat, using the MTP protocol or even connect USB memory devices like thumbdrives and USB hard drvies. Song lists on USB devices are displayed in alphabetical order, and the unit will find music files while ignoring other file types. "

Wondering how it works, keep us posted.

Only have the zune not the zune2 but it will read a 4gb thumb drive and that is really cool.
