The ones i have heard have all been in donks that all they care abought is being loud. The ones I heard were really distorted. But I have heard that they can sound good.

They **** balls.

They are PA speakers... NOT car speakers. They have no midbass response... and need to be bandpassed/xover'd...

No, I want some speakers that will fit in these poorly designed Q-Logic kick panels. I need something with a over all diameter of less than 6.5", 4 ohm svc, 100 RMS and something that isn't garbage. lmk.

Do you want components, midbass only, midrange only, coaxials?

They make a 6", 7", and an 8"...

I know the 7" are RS180-4... you'll probably need the 6" b/c of those kick panels.

I have seen a pure 100% SQ car, that does perfect on a RTA n then flip a switch and sounds perfect (subjective) to the ear....running 3 eminence in each door. It's all in your install. But for hte most part with people using them, they do sound like ****.

Also I just ordered 4 of those 7" dayton refs for my doors :D

If you were going to run 40 speakers, then I would've recommended the Eminence speakers.

The Eminence dont have any midbass. They will get really loud and have no distortion if setup properly, but they just have a different sound.

There is more to god sq than just not distorting. I wouldnt say they sound great, but if you're looking to just get really loud on 100rms and only have $35 a speaker, they work great.

If you're looking for a full, faithful reproduction, look elsewhere. These are meant to be loud as hell while sounding decent. Ive actually messed with mine quite a bit and they sounded pretty **** good. I actually impressed quite a few people who have SQ championships under their belt and quite a few people running Rainbows, Bostons, etc.

I personally run the Eminence in my car, but they work for what I use them for. As for car use, the Alpha6C is actually a car audio speaker. The cone is constructed with different materials, and its overall a very different driver. It also has a 4 ohm impedance. The Regular Alpha6 is meant for PA monitors, but the Alpha6C is meant for vehicles. Because of that, the 6C isnt nearly as loud.

And which Dayton 7" are you guys running? The Reference, Reference sheilded, or Aluminum cone?
