What are the differences between a normal round port and a slotted port? Would I hear port noise if the subs are in my trunk?

depends on the size
slot ports usually create a lower air velocity
if your not using to big of a sub you wont hear the difference

So if i'm just using HE 10's i wouldn't notice the difference.

You're able to make a larger port using the slot port
compared to the round port. This enables you to tune
lower in smaller enclosures. Both sound good if made
correctly. It comes down to preference and what will
be easier to build with your box size.

I have my 15 slot ported right behind me in my truck
and even at very high levels I can't hear any port noise.

As long as the port area is large enough you won't have
any port noise.

how do you determine the slot port size? do you want the same area as the roud port?
