Which sounds best?

Everyone always talks about orientation of the sub and port as to which will be the loudest... But which orientation (from your experience) sounds the best for a ported enclosure in an SUV? I'm trying to finalize the plans for my new install, and trying to determine if I want to go ported or sealed to best fit my needs.

I know that sub rear facing sounds the best for a sealed application... but that is a challenge for me because I have a 15" sub and a 16.5" max height. :rolleyes:

Sub up in an SUV sounds terrible... Which ***** because would easily fix my max height problem.

I had 6 15s that were sub up and port up in an Expedition, tuned real low, and they sounded great and got pretty loud.
