I have been looking at getting either one of these sets. The Polk MOMO's, CDT HD 62, or the CDT Eurosports. I can get the MOMO's for around 270, the Eurosports for 300, and the CDT HD for 400. Which one is the better set?

Which ones would you recommend? The HD or the Eurosports. Both are the same price at woofersetc.com

Eurosport definitely. I think the only reason they're the same price right now is cause they are on sale.

:fyi: The HD set does come with better tweeters, might be something to consider

Actually, for the same price as the Hd's, I can get an upgraded set of the Eurosports, which have the same tweeter as the Hd's, the DRT 25. Any reason now to get the HD's over the Euorsports?

I would say Eurosport Gold FTW. Especially with the DRT-25 tweets.

Ive been looking on the CDT website and I noticed anoter set of tweeters, the DRT-26. Do you know if theres any difference between the DRT-25 Tweeters and the DRT-26?

The Eurosports are above the HD... I don't know why someone would choose the HD over Eurosports for about the same price?

You would think - but I am certain that I have heard people who have ran both say they prefer the HD's.

On a side note CDT seems to have so many freaking variations of their lines that it is hard to keep up with what comes with what. Their website is confusing as hell as well.

DRT-25 + 26 are basically the same tweeter if you get the silk. The only difference is that the 26 is modular and you can change it to alum or titanium if you want. The 25 is fixed and cant be changed out.

Tweeter info:

The older (yellow) Eurosports are OK but not great. I'd probably take the HD's over them however the new Eurosports (orange frame) is the new top of the line ones now.

I think the best bang for the buck is the HD-M6, DRT-25 silk and 560 crossover.

M6 info:

I have these and are pretty strong in a sealed up door.

How much power and where are you crossing them on both ends?

My M6's and aluminum DRT's just showed up tonight. The woofers look beefy :D

you'll enjoy them deuce, especially that midbass :) . just a heads up everyone, CDT is planning a site re-design shortly here in february (thank the lord)....i think they were waiting to get the rest of the home audio line out before going forward with it. hopefully site becomes a lot better...sure needed some work.

My setup consists of :
m6 woofer, braxial mounted w/ drt26 Silk mounted low in the doors of my Titan.
560 crossovers,
UP500XT upstage,
ES-01 tweeters in the a-pillars

I am powering the whole front stage by an Arc XXK-2500 (275x2) and it gets loud. I might go active next time but I had all this stuff so I tried it and it seems to work well.

They are very beefy... seal up your doors good! You should see the ES-06+, now thats beefy!!!

This is GREAT news... they recently did an update and that fixed some things but it needs a re-design desperately. I've emailed them on several occasions looking for info and asking when it would be updated. They just keep telling me (soon).

The Eurosports may have a little more detail in the midrange and better off-axis dispersion.... but the difference might not be much, I can't guarantee you would hear a noticeable difference.

well the sets you've listed from woofers at those prices are the older ES models which vary from the new ones (brown and orange). After using the older ones for a bit and now using the newer ones and then moving to the M6 in my 3way setup, i can say between the older ES and HD, the ES excelled in the mids and was quite smooth in the vocals but lacked all midbass. Newer ones are atleast equal with the HD on midbass now ( but if you really want midbass go ES-06/M6 or the 06+ drivers) But i'd say the ones you're looking at get the HD one, better all around performer. But check your PM's original poster.

I own the Hd-62 components and i couldnt be happier! They sound great, they have a lot of vocals and strong midbass and the tweets are nice and smooth.. very natural sounding. I am running 200 rms to each side and they love it! I cant speak for the other speakers as i have no experience with them

The ES will sound more detailed compared to the HD's. ES610's FTW.
