I love both of these decks from an astetic standpoint but i have never touched either of them.

I want to know what is the best overall deck and what one has over the other.

I have dont my search button round about and its basically a dead end for me so i need a this or that right now.

Thanks

i have a 7800mp for sale. it's a nice unit. it has everything you should need as long as your not looking to go active with it.

passive means using the supplied crossovers that came with the comp set. a set of speaker wires will go from the amp to the passives, then a set from the passives to the mids and a set from the passives to the tweeters. the passive takes care of making sure frequencies go where they should.

in an active setup you control the crossover points and slopes before amplification, usually you control the points and slopes from the head unit. you'll need 4 channels to run an active 2 way front stage.

the 780 or 7800 cannot control an active setup. it'll do anything you would need to do other than controlling an active setup.

Are you talking about the 9885? There is no 9855 on Alpine's site.

I'd go with the Pioneer if it was my choice...
