Ok I will not specify why, but i need old scratched up head unit faces for before and after pictures. It doesn't matter if it comes from a working headunit or not. It just needs to be a plastic face. I will pay shipping to me, thanks.

Looks pretty good.. although it looks like whatever you used ate some of the writing away.

yeah next time i am going to make sure to avoid all words written on the face of the deck. Didn't know the products would dig that deep.

On my future faces i will make sure to tape off all painted on emblems. I assumed these emblems went farther than skin deep, i ended up being wrong. I wont make that mistake again.

i say take ALL writing and words off. Look a lot cleaner that way. I cant stand all those useless words on my units. Seriously, is there a button to go with the MOSFET writing? 50wx4? No. No need to specify that. Leave it BLANK. lol. Just my opinion.

Here is the Ebay tip for your service:

1) wipe scratched faceplate with 100% acetone to make it all uniform flat

2) Apply some sunflower oil to make the faceplate shiny again.

Scratches will be gone and no polishing is needed!!!

* After about 1 month, the sunflower oil will evaporate form the faceplate and it will be all flat again. **** you EBAY

actually I suggested to the person who donated the faceplate that i take all the words off and that is what he is having me do. It will look very clean when i am done and i will provide more pictures. As for the sunflower oil "trick", when i took pictures of the faceplate both before and after it had been wiped down with cleaner, not any kind of polish or oil. So, no tricks here and i am sure the donators can provide affirmation to that once they get the faces back.
