I want the subs/vent facing into the car and the box sealed off from the trunk/car..
Why have some ppl said that haveing thier enclosure facing into the car and the rest of the box sealed from the trunk is the loudest way... and other saying that when they did it, it wasnt loud even if they completely sealed it off properly?...

If done properly it could work well. Is this a DD?
Don't really understand why you would want to lose your back seat though

o no, once the trunk is sealed off properly, the backseats and hatch will be put back in... so when im playing the subs ill just put the hatch down, ect.

Firing to the rear almost always has greater spl.

honestly I have know idea what you are talking about
is it a trunk car or hatchback
Latch, what latch will be left open?

the "hatch/latch" is what comes down to get into the trunk, when the subs are playing the "backseat/latch" will be DOWN oviously
u kno, what your back is against when your sitting in the back seat, yea that comes down... the only time the backseat latch would be up is if someone is sitting back thier or if im not playin the subs

he is referring to the backseats, Im fairly certain he is anyways
if you can do so, I would prefer to do it this way in a trnk car, for one, itll free up the trunk some, as you can pile **** in there, and not worry about damaging the subs, plus, the asthetics are pretty nice as well, If I ever do another trunk car, this is what I plan on doing
now, if you want the maximum spl, it can vary, depending on vehicle dynamics, as well as your skills

the "hatch/latch" is what comes down to get into the trunk, when the subs are playing the "backseat/latch" will be DOWN oviously
u kno, what your back is against when your sitting in the back seat, yea that comes down
would have been easier to understand if you just said you were gonna have the seats folded down most the time
now I see what you are saying

and i believe the hatch/latch refers to the trunk lid

if the seats fold down then the subs wouldnt be obstructed, i think thats what he's saying, but i think u's know that

yeh sry bout that confusion..
so in general u think this would be loud, should this be a sealed enclosure or is it good to be slot vented?

I think it would be a good idea. You can do a false wall on the back of the box in the trunk and have the seats up when parked, 100% hidden.

any other things to add that would make this louder... possibly dynamating the entire trunk but i heard that with this kind of enclosure thier is barely any trunk rattle anyway
realy tryin to make inside my car loud as possible with two 12's.... someone said they were able to hit 149dbwith two 12"type r's in this kind of enclosure (facing forward and trunk sealed off)

Firing to the rear almost always has greater spl.
Yet nearly every spl competitor fires into the cabin:confused:

I'm just saying, if it's going to be in the trunk of a sedan then it sounds better facing the rear from my experience

i'm doing this same thing in my car. but with 1 15. all i have to do is start making a form around the box to the bracing of the rear deck and rear wheel wells.
its louder than facing backwards IMO.
