This will be a custom center console. It will be 1.3 cubes sealed for a pair of JL W6V2's. He's going to have a friend finish it up in some vinyl, should look pretty cool all complete.

Hoping to get started on it later today.

Here is the design, compliments of Chris.

getting it wrapped in vinyl like he said with a pad on top... trying to keep the console look. will be a nice vibrating arm rest.

as long as the airspace in the two is the same, they won't.

Why is there two pieces of wood where the subs go in?

Why is there two pieces of wood where the subs go in?

It's called a double baffle. Why... probably to increase mounting depth and/or create a stronger baffle.

I'm with UCF... the mounting depth is 6.9". Also, while the 10w6v2 isn't considered a monster in the SPL department.... it can cause some flexing.

I like double baffles because they help hold the weight of the magnet and provide more wood for the screws to go in when mounting the sub.
