EDIT: i think reading > me

your best bet is just a HU with an auxilary headphone output, a ton of the newer HU's have em

Yep. Other than that you can go with a USB based setup and skip using the Zune... but that's just more $.

You'll have to have a h/u that has aux in b/c no one (as far as I know) makes a Zune compatible headunit like they do iPod h/u's.

Keep in mind that if you go with an alpine you can buy an ai-net aux adapter, since they don't have aux inputs already.

I take it you're relatively new to all this?...

If you go with Alpine get a 9885 and this cable:

The nicest Alpine single DIN Headunit, the 9887, can be had under 300. What is it that you're looking for other than Zune control, which isn't out there unfortunately? You can play music on the deck thru the Zune but can't control your music library from the deck like you would be able to with an iPod... but using the AUX in or AINET/Aux converter, you'd be able to at least listen to the music from the Zune...

I was going to suggest this, but it honestly may be too much if he's new to h/u's (which is why I asked).
