Im wanting to build a new box for my 18" BL's. They are currently in a buddies box(that was built for these subs as well), and would like to get my own box build going. This will be going in the back of my 1999 suburban. I want the subs up, port back, but the trick is, i wanna try aero ports this time around. I have no experience at all using, or designing a box for aero ports, and ANY help would be greatly appreciated....pm me please with any suggestions...thanks alot, and happy new year, Ed

If you're going with 2 18s you're going to want around 13 cubes net with a little over 200 square inches of port. Since you're going to use aero ports, you can get away with less port area apparently, so I would say around 150 sq in of port, or 5 6" areo ports. To calculate the length of aero port needed to achieve tuning in a certain box, use this site:

i told him about 14 net minimum for both ,in a pm when he asked..... so i guess its a good start, i still say 4x 6's should do tho ..........
