Bridge it! I have the same amp (well older) and components. Results are awesome!

I just ordered the pg rds comps and coax's from audiosavings also. I also ordered a kicker 350.4 to power the comps up front and coax's in the rear. I see that some of you are pushing alot more power...did I make a mistake? I'm just looking for a nice upgrade from my crappy factory speakers powered by my kenwood HU.

What kind of car is it? If it is a smaller car (coupe) you should definitely bridge the amp to power the RSd's and run the rear fill off of the head unit.

Yeah man just bridge the 4 channel and run the rears off the headunit you dont hear them anyway

Thats great advice guys! I never thought of doing that. So this is definately the way to do it? I thought the extra bass in the rear would help.

nah, if you care about SQ then you want most of the sound coming from the front. you actually want the front speakers to play as much of the low end bass as possible w/o distortion and bottoming out of course.

i have my rsd's high passed at 63hz and my sub at 50hz both with 12db crossover slopes and they blend together very very well. on most music you'll hear the very bottom end but it actually sounds like it's all coming from the front speakers. it almost sounds like i don't have a sub in the trunk. the only time it's obvious that i have a sub in the car is when i really crank the volume up and you feel the double bass kicks in your back.

my point is if you have bass or mid-bass really coming from behind you it will pull the sound stage to the back and it won't sound the same. some people though prefer that sound, it's all up to you in the end.

Thanks for the great advice tcguy85. Now I'm wondering if I should return the 4channel for a higher rated 2ch amp. Would it be worth the hassle? I'm not running a sub and just wanted a simple upgrade from my factory speakers, but if it will make a big difference, I'm willing to do it right.

Like they said, just bridge it. You don't need to run lower than 4ohms so you're fine.

Looks like my order has not shipped yet, so I can easily upgrade the amp. Looking at the kicker zx650.4 to power all 4. Or is it useless to run that power to the rear? Sorry for all the noob questions.

... you dont need more than 40-45rms in the rear... you dont need any rear in fact.. run the stock rear speakers off the headunit.. get a 2 channel front stage amp..
