It seems that Wranglers go through head units alot. After a period of time they stop ejecting the CD's well. I currently have a pioneer deck that I really haven't been overly happy with. I changed my stock speakers out with some Polk DB speakers. The pioneer deck when turned up just under half gets very nasty sounding in my opinion. The clarity goes through the floor. I was told by an installer all pioneers for one reason or another do this and he said he didn't reccomend them. I am on a budget of under 160 dollars. I was looking at some Kenwoods with USB attachments and that is very intriguing to me. I hate how my cd player skips all the time off and on road. Can anyone vouch for the Kenwood sound quality and or reccomend something better with USB connectivity.

i had a 00 jeep wrangler sahara edition with a pioneer 6600. I have never had a problem with it when i owned the vehicle. Sound quality was fine. I have a 12" subwoofer box for a jeep wrangler if you want to buy. hope

I have a DEH 4600mp. I know its a low cost unit but I didnt want to spend to much on a player that may not last to long. I am looking for any and all suggestions on a good head unit. I also frequent alot of Jeep forums and the cd's not ejecting is a common problem across many brands in Wranglers.

I had an '03 Sahara and now also have an '07 4-door Sahara. Jeeps **** for sound quality anyway so your best bet is to get a cheap h/u with iPod or other mp3 player connection. No more skipping.
