Well could I do it?

People decided they wanted to help me after I did something wrong! lol, not before I built my box...

So I guess my box is way to small for 2 12" subs... I don't really want to spend the 25$ for a new box, and I want it done soon.... Can I seal a ported box? Or would that just ****?

ANYWAY.... I don't have enough room for 2 12" R's ported...

So these are my options...

1 ported.

2 sealed...

If anyone could chime in w/ opinions, and ideas for boxes! that would be greatly appriciated..

What kind of port is it? Well that doesn't really matter cut a piece of wood slightly bigger than your port, put some caulk or whatever around it and screw it down. Not that hard...

Ported boxes usually need MORE room than sealed (for the same settup), and if your is sealed and too small, your running outta options son.

Edit:
Yeah, totally read that all wrong...

Just glue and screw a board over it.

Would that sound good???? I mean guess it's worth a try... If it doesn't work I need a new box anyway... But it would be nice to have that one still, and glue is irreversable..

piece of board should work. Or use clothes to stuff it like a ******* friend of mine once did

so you think a trial w/ NO glue would work ok?

Yeah, just that little bit of a gap won't hurt to see if you like or or not.

Can always get some non hardening clay and use that as temporary fix to see if you like also

gray foam tape from lowes... put that down and then the board. Should be air tight then...

I guess, its sticky side on 1 side and the 1/4 in thick foam on the other...

Foam tape or gasket tape plus a few screws should do the trick.

keep pouring concrete into the port until it fills up

Joke? yes no? Also that would defeat the purpose.. I need it sealed b/c I need more space for the subs.. Doing this will give me about an extra cubic foot...

Alright... I got some good insulation, it was like a puffy half circle, w/ adhesive on one side... I put that all around the port, and around the back of the license plate, and and "X" through the middle... That thing rattled like no other... It could easily be heard over the bass.. lol..

I'll tell you how it works out once I get it up and running....

Oh.. Did I mention is was an 89'? lol... sorry.

It's not just the 25$... That does **** though... I'm 16 have no job, am paying off a TV, and have a girlfriend.. Money goes really quick when you have no income ;)

I think I could maybe get the box up to 4.3 cubes... i'm not sure if would even be worth the time and money...
