Hi, does anyone know when would Pioneer do a refresh of their Premier model linup refresh. Especially the DEH-P880PRS. It's nice and all, but it's been running 2-3 yrs, it's time for a new model isn't? Maybe sometime in 2008? Anyone?

The 920 was a flagship for 2 years. The 930, 940 were also for 2 years. As were the 860 and 960. Thats why there was never a 870 and 970. The 980 and 880 are in the end of their 2nd year of being top of the line. So this year there should be a new top of the line. What is it?? I have NO clue but be rest assured the quality will be no better, probably just a new face and a couple new features.

Reason why I want to know is that I'm buying all the components for an 2 ch active setup. and the biggest piece of puzzle is the HU that has full EQ and crossover. 880 is sweet and cost-effective, but if its the end of the line, I'll just wait for couple more month for a new model I guess. If their new lineup have decided not to do 16EQ and xover, I'll have to buy another piece of equip that does it, which I rather have it in HU.

There's only a couple of features that might make the 880prs better, 7-11 band peq, ummmm stronger outputs, better fit and finish.
