i got a deh-p980 for about 2yrs now... my question is that the HU plays ok when its warm.. but in a cold day it skips... it even skip with the ipod hook to it...

is this common in pioneer deck or what is causing it to skip?

SKips with the Ipod? That *****... I'm ditching my Pioneer due to skipping issues as well but I wouldn't think the iPod should skip.

I had a old pioneer premier from back in the day, would eject and play fine cold but when it gets warm the motor in it would eject the cd but not recieve it. Probably some fault in the Hu that needs repairs, maybe time to get a new HU.
