Well I was trying to decide which top of the line comps I wanted, and made a post earlier. Well someone just sent me a pm saying they can sell me CDT's top line

http://woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_id=5615

to me for 360 bucks including shipping and a 10yr warrenty. And I was wondering what you guys thought about these speakers, and if they are better then moral, boston pro's etc.

I personally dont like the way CDTs sound. They didnt feel warm to me, and the tweeters are from hell IMO.

If I was you find a way to get a demo listening on them and see if you like them, cause $360 isnt really pocket change now is it :p:

How would I go about doing that since no local shops carry them? =/

also if I did get them, would this amp be good to power them?

I'm not sure exactly which drivers those are....

CDT's top tweeters are the ES-01, which I currently run and think are great.

CDT's top midrange/woofers is another story... it kinda depends on what you want. There's the ES_04 4" midrange which is phenomenal IMO for a 4" speaker, but if you're looking for a 6.5", then something like the ES-06 or the 06+ would be their top of the line I think. Looks like the ones in that set are probably the ES-6... all of their model numbers get a little confusing at times...

Anyways, I've used CDT in several installs for myself and my friends and have always been very pleased with the results. I think that set for $360 is probably a pretty **** good deal, if it includes the crossovers. I paid around that for my ES_01/04 set for drivers alone. If it includes a supposed 10-yr warranty, I'd seriously want to know what that warranty covers. ;)

<edit> As for amps, I would look for a minimum of 100x4 if I were you. CDTs really shine with lots of power...

Either way, I think it sounds like a pretty good deal. Can't tell you how they compare to the other speakers you listed, but while I don't consider myself a CDT "fanboi", I am a fan, and I do like their speakers. ;)
