Currently messing with the tweeter pods untill I get some necessary tools/money/supplies.



Using wood filler/glue molded the tweeter on the old factory sails.

Stretched fleece/a dress sock over the sail, used paper clips to pull the fleece in the hole.

After more sanding primer coats, and some carving so the tweeter can fit:

Pretty much all that is left with those is primer sand the other one, and a few more coats on each till the holes are filled, then paint and wetsand smooth.

Next up I will be smoothing out the back side sloping up to the sub ring then I will carpet the box.

1st tweeter still needs some filling and smooting out

Yeah they both need work, I just got my car back from the repair shop, and they stole my money, so I'll be a lil while before I can get the rest of the equipment.

I don't think I mentioned I'm also switching from passive to active crossovers. And in the future considering another set of components.

Glazing putty is the way to go.You'll be forever trying to get the primer to fill all those holes.It drys pretty quick and can be sanded and primed in about 20 min.Then I use a primer sealer just to be safe.Lookin good though.

looks good man. you can use glaze to fill the pin holes or get some good primer. the primer we use at work, i can fill in grinding marks with :D anyways they look awesome man. nice work

Yeah, I was going to try and stuff it too, but I never got around to it.
I was going to seal it the easy way and just put some mdf over it to see how it sounds, instead I cut it out and turning it into an amp rack, I need the space for the rack anyway.

Going to get another 3000d sometime around january, and switch the components to an active setup.

I may have spent about 10 hours on both of them together, here and there.
The tweeters are sealed, in thier own casing, so yes.

Well here is what I have been up to, I had to wait till payday and get a sawzall so that I can start the "port to amp rack" change to the box. I tried using the other saws I had and It wasn't happening.

This is all the progress so far, I gotta wait some more (after the holidays) so that I can get a new blade for the skill saw and some MDF so I can start putting the rack together.

Made a little video, after I was finally able to pull video off my camera and get wmm to work!
I'm not much for editing, I tried to make it flow a little better and removed crappy footage.

Only like 400-600 watts max.
