Don't like it as much as some of the previous models....:(
the sti doesn't look to bad but I don't really like the grill of the other models.

Ask DarkFox http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274173 he just got one.

Personally I like the older body style but looks like a helluva lot more room inside with the new ones. Guessing if your not going for the STI then its not all that big of a deal the new ones probably a better all around car versus the smaller sedan ones.

I like it a LOT! looks kinda like the legacy, looks more refined, sleek, which will appeal to the older crowd as well as those trying to keep a low profile ;)

Great car if you dont find the looks offensive. If it were me i'd get it, and then swap out the grill.

I think it's ugly. But then again, I drive a jellybean myself.

If you get one, get the STI. Just too much **** that will come around a non-STI.

They are more spacey than the previous models on the inside though, I read a bit about them a while back.

I pitched the idea for a GTI instead.

Fastest shifting consumer transmission + vw fit and finish.

Now if I could just get these friggin' dealers to stop calling/emailing/etc.

AWD >>> FWD And the quick shifts are nice, but i guaranty you're going to get a lot more use out of superior power and drive terrain.

I try not to keep cars past the warraty period - 40k b2b, 60k p&d in this case.

Eugenics
12-05-2007, 02:08 AM
I'd rather go out of warranty than get raped on depreciation for that new car smell.

Eugenics
12-05-2007, 02:09 AM
Although if you go with an STI or EVO you're definitely going to want the warranty.

Eugenics

I'd rock the 300c myself. You can get em cheap. Good power. Lifetime power terrain warranty.

I think it *****, well the looks of it anyway, but the commercial with germans drivin it is pretty funny tho.

GTI? I've always liked German cars, and The VW's and Audi's feel like they could drive themselves

I hated it at first, but it's a design that grows on you, even if you think it never will.

The XT looked like a crackhead, half-retarded, Russian fighter plane, with Down syndrome. But they were **** good cars. A friend of mine had one with like 310k on it. Burned oil like a mah****er, but it ran like a champ, and has some decent 'umph' to it.

Well from just looking at the pictures, I don't seem to like them as much as I used too. I betcha they still drive nice, however not big on the looks, then again I wasn't that big on the old ones either.

Still a blast to drive one.

Also look way too much like a Legacy IMO.

i guess you could say the same about the evo x -- since to the average joe, it looks just like a lancer. :)

There's nothing quite like that boxer sound. :)

Hellaflush recently came up on the vdub forums during a discussion about tire stretching and rims poking out -- I thought your avatar was a joke reference.

Post up the flush lex too :)

What about the 09 Lancer Ralliart? AWD, 2.0 turbo; it's basically a detuned EVO X. Pricing is not out yet, so who knows if it will be worth it.

don't know if it's been said, but C/D did a test of the newest WRX and they didn't seem to favor it over the old one by much. I think they might have liked the old one better

i'd like to go air, but for the extra cost and weight it's not worth it to me. our roads here are pretty good, i can ride low all the time. i have my jeep for winter snow!

i read that article. they pretty much said that the newest wrx is all grown up, softer, smooother, nicer and not as good for all the reasons the old one was.
