So i decided to go for it, frys had a really good deal on polk stuff. buy one get one half off. total for all 4 subs was 182 with warranties.
The box is 3.6 cubes. Double baffle with flush mount. When I first had the box in I tried it sealed, this sounded really clean but the loud bass output wasn't there. So I
got 4" port from ace and popped it in and WOW my subs really came to
life. cut the pipe to 6 inches long, Ported @ 32 hz sounds amazing for these little 8's. I had a 10" L7 in the same location, it was 2.2 cubes at 28hz (setup used in the video shiznilti made) and this new setup blows it away. Here's some pics.

Now do yourself a favor, put some spacers on the box flip it over, round over the edges, put some fabric on it so I can pick my chin up off the floor. You have a decent idea that is a long way from looking good enough to not to get ragged on, I would be prepaired to get ripped for the aesthetics.

Looks loud, I would get in trouble trying to rest my arm on it and then get hit by one of the woofers though lol.

I do like the HU up at the top of the windshield, looks pretty cool.

is that your deck above the mirror? if so nice touch, seriously.

thanks guys, i'm going to put cup holders in. at least 1 in the front. the subs dont bother hitting my arm since they are somewhat shallow with the flush mount. i'm laying fabric on in tomorrow, and yes that is my deck above my mirror. by the way pics were with the backseat folded up to show my amp battery and computer.. the main reason i have my box there is because i absolutely need my back seat as I am still in high school.. my friends really got a kick out of the port, it shoots air out so fast and hard, crazy.

dont be cheap and buy a flared port. That too will make a difference, its only 15 shipped or so. Other then that it looks promising.

That is correct. That install looks like ***. I wouldn't wanna let someone in my car if it looked like that. A big, bare, glue stained box in the way of elbow space and bare wire running in all directions behind me. But hey, to each his own. Hope it gives you the sound you were looking for.

First time something liquid gets spilled on the box or a sub you'll regret the cupholder idea. At least flip it as mentioned and do it downfiring if you want to do cupholders...

i just put it in, it's not done.. and i would rather sacrifice elbow space then people space

no this is straight off my camera. i'm into photogrphy i know a little about lighting. i just had my flash firing at my ceiling so when it reflected off it gave a nice soft look that you would find in a studio using umbrellas etc.

subs up with no grill means damaged subs very soon. flip the box to protect the subs or get grills over them, but grills wont protect them from liquid.

it wasn't even loud sealed. oh and I accidentaly drilled through a momo dustcap 2 days ago when i was drilling the subs into fur and foam. screw slipped. still sounds fine with some silicone in the hole.
new pics with the fur and 2" foam... desert partys ftl... truck is filthy. and unfortunately a friend borrowed my fisheye and ran off to cali with it. does anybody think i would gain some more output if if i tuned higher around 36-40 hz?http://a478.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/128/l_1853562695267456893a2db79d73f635.jpg

I'm sure it sounded better though.

Yes you gain output going toward 40. I wouldn't tune any higher than 40 though.

The fur is a bit much for me, but if you like then enjoy :)
