After spending some time playing with WinISD, seems a bandpass is the most capable enclosure available. Strong lows and a HUGE spike in the mid range, but falls off above 85hz (so what?).
Is there a loss of sound quality with a bandpass design? How much?
Why doesn't everyone use bandpasses?
I have Audiobahn Aw1208Q subs.

Do a quick search on bandpass box's, you should find some interesting things.
They sound like crap, most of them
They are loud at certain frequencies, most of them.
A well though out, ported or sealed box is perfectly fine.
I used to run a bandpass box, it was built exactly to spec and it took me a while to complete. Of course it sounded good and was pretty loud, but the driver needs to be designed to be thrown in a bandpass box(and the box needs to be built exactly to spec...they arent forgiving)

Because they have very limited frequency response, they have to be built exactly to the subs specs and they have to be built perfectly, and the push/pull effects puts a big strain on the driver.
